That’s exactly what EFT Tapping offers.
In our latest episode of the Happy Healthy Her Podcast, we had the absolute pleasure of talking with Amy Vincze, EFT Tapping expert and founder of the Soar with Tapping app. Amy has spent over 20 years in the health and wellness industry and discovered tapping after her own journey through breast cancer, anxiety, and trauma. What Is EFT Tapping?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a practice that combines elements of acupressure, cognitive therapy, and somatic awareness. By tapping gently on specific points on the body, you send calming signals to your brain’s stress center (the amygdala).
Amy explained it beautifully:
✨ Tapping tells your nervous system to “de-escalate, de-escalate, de-escalate.”
✨ Cortisol (the stress hormone) levels drop faster—up to 43% faster—when tapping is used.
✨ Heart rate, blood pressure, and tension all begin to ease.
Over 300 peer-reviewed studies show just how powerful this method can be. And the best part? You can do it yourself, right at home.
Why Amy Swears By It
Amy shared how tapping has cleared fears, phobias, chronic pain, and even difficult relationships—for herself and for her clients. She told us about a client who overcame a fear of flying in just 90 minutes, and others who finally found relief from years of physical pain.
But what stood out most was Amy’s perspective on emotions:
“Emotions are our friends—even the uncomfortable ones. They tell us when something is out of balance and needs our attention.”
Instead of numbing or ignoring our feelings, tapping helps us process them safely, with compassion and clarity.
How You Can Start Today
Amy gave us a simple way to try tapping right now:
- Rate the Issue (0–10) — Think about the stress, pain, or belief you want to work on.
- Karate Chop Point — Tap the side of your hand while saying:
“Even though I have this ____, I deeply honor all my thoughts and feelings about it.” Repeat 3x. - Tap the Points — Move through each point (eyebrow, side of eye, under eye, under nose, chin, collarbone, under arm, top of head) using short reminder phrases like:
- “I feel this stress.”
- “It’s getting in the way.”
- “It feels heavy.”
- “I feel this stress.”
- Check In — Pause, breathe, and re-rate your issue. Notice what shifted.
That’s it! Simple, powerful, and ready to use anywhere.
Why This Matters for Women in Midlife
So many of us carry stress in ways we don’t even realize—tension in the jaw, tight shoulders, shallow breathing. Add in hormone shifts, chronic pain, or emotional ups and downs, and it’s no wonder we feel overwhelmed.
Tapping gives us a practical, immediate tool to interrupt that stress cycle. It’s not about ignoring emotions—it’s about finally listening, honoring, and releasing them in a healthy way.

Final Thoughts
This episode reminded us that true healing often comes in layers—and sometimes the simplest tools can bring the biggest breakthroughs. If you’ve been carrying stress, pain, or emotions that feel heavy, give tapping a try. You might be surprised at just how quickly things begin to shift.
